The L&CPU Individual Print and Digital Competitions were judged this weekend - a total of 2816 entries. Congratulations go to Richard O'Meara MPAGB FBPE (pictured) for being named the outright Photographer of the Year 2026. This goes one better than last year when he shared the award with Eddie Leach of Oldham PS. As well as winning the overall award, Richard was named Print Photographer of the Year (jointly), winner of the Mono Print competition and second overall in the Digital Photographer of the Year competition. There was more success in the family, too, with his wife Gillian coming joint second in the Nature Print Competition and joint third in the Mono Print Competition. Well done the O'Mearas! Yet another success was Alan Storey, who gained the Bronze Award in the Nature Print Competition with his "Oleander Hawk Moths".
